Summit for Sobriety

Let’s not take for granted
That friendly little deed
Of the kindly neighbor
Who recognized our need.

Let’s not take for granted,
The sunshine and the rain,
The peace that enfolds us
The day that’s free from pain.

Let’s not take for granted
The loyalty and smiles
Of one who’s walked beside us
These many weary miles.

Let’s not take for granted
These gifts that smooth our way;
Instead let’s express
Our gratitude each day.

Mission Statement:

Summit for Sobriety is attempting to raise awareness about sobriety and a life of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. We are raising money for patient-aid donations that provide treatment for people suffering from chemical dependency.

Goal:

We are working to eliminate the stigma associated with people who suffer from this disease, and prove that a limitless life of recovery is possible through the “gift of sobriety.”

Our Part:

Climbing Mount Rainer is a symbol of our dedication to a meaningful life of recovery, service to others, and a need to raise awareness about this prevalent problem. Climbing a mountain, like a life of recovery, is difficult yet ultimately rewarding.

What we are asking for:

We are asking for donations to further the cause of helping young adults achieve sobriety. Our goal is to raise twenty-five thousand dollars for the 4806 Foundation.

4806 Foundation:

The 4806 Foundation is a non-profit, tax-deductable, 501(c)(3) charity that provides funding to therapeutic programs for young adults seeking recovery from substance abuse and related disorders. The 4806 Foundation is founded on the idea that no one should be turned away from treatment due to financial needs. With this goal in mind the 4806 Foundation provides scholarships for young adults who wish to make a profound lifestyle change.
